It is a stage with no particular scientific name, a stage where the urge for relationships exceeds observance of ethics and respect to human dignity.
Campus relationships as it is normally reffered to has in the recent past caused serius headache to parents and University administrators particularly in Kenya.
There has been a series of nerve wrecking instances of murder among University students all pointing to failed relationship proposals, love triangles while others remain misterius relationship related murders.

One majorinstance that left tongues wagging and threads of social media complaints is that of Ivy Wangeci, an Eldoret Moi University student. Ivy Wangeci was murdered at Moi Teaching and Refferal Hospital on 9th April 2019  by her supposed boyfriend Naftali Kinuthia.Kinuthia publicly hacked Ivy with an axe leaving her dead on the spot.In his statement with the police, Kinuthia claimed that Ivy refused to respond to his phone calls despite having invested heavily on her as his lover.
In January 2014,Teresia Roselyn,a final year female student at Mount Kenya University confessed stabbing  her boyfriend Zachariah Ndwiga to death for allegedly being unfaithful.
In March last year, a shocking video of a first year student at the technical University of Mombasa surfaced showing a first year by the name Cedric phisically abusing a fellow by the name Alloys. This is after the earlier got waves that the later was having an unaffair with a girl called Angel, reportedly Cedric's girlfriend. The incident led to expulsion of the culprit from the institution.
Above are just but a few of the many unreported harrowing campus toxic relationship puzzles. The incidences have led to loss of promising young lives and most families left in serious griefs.

In deed if not addressed, the trend may become fashioned as a normal occurence in our universities. Experts have now called upon University management and departmental deans to organize impactful counselling sessions. This is the first step towards restoring the sense of humanity and dignity among the generation that is seemingly becoming uncomfortable due to publicly exposed negative technological impacts.

It remains a mistery whether this will be achieved in this era when most students tend to live a life that is practically beyond their reach, girls minting money from boys who dare to express relationship interest with them and boys sacrificing the little they have to invest in ladies who never reciprocate the kind of relationship the youthful men wish for. It is a trend that will take a collective discussion platform for both genders to address and government policies through concerned ministries could also add significant value towards the course.
